As a part of Bydgoszcz Academy of Art we invite you to Aleksander Kądziela’s “Upholstery workshop. Making a POUFFE!” A one-day workshop with Master Aleksander Kądziela, furniture industry expert, craftsman, author of the book TAPICERUJ and the educational channel Upholsterer in Action. Professional machine sewing and hand sewing are the basis and a mandatory introduction to the world of upholstery and upholstered furniture restoration. Start your upholstery adventure! You do not need any expertise or skills. We promise you will have a great time and make your own piece of furniture. All materials included!

– Introduction to upholstery and health and safety
– Learning about the basic tools and materials used in upholstery
– Agreeing the scope and details of the work with the participants
– Measurement and calculation of materials. Large selection of coloured fabrics.
– Painting of the legs: 4 wooden legs. Selecting paints, wood stains, varnishes and waxes
– Sewing in trimmings
– Upholstering and lining of pouffes
– In addition, the secrets of the Master
– Final work, summary, photo session
– You take the finished pouffe home!

He has 35 years of professional experience, being not only a practitioner but also a highly regarded teacher and expert witness. He is the creator of the largest YouTube channel dedicated to the art of upholstery, known as “TAPICER W AKCJI.” Specialising in upholstery and furniture education has attracted the attention of thousands of people who follow his social media profiles.
