A report prepared by the Wiosna Association shows that the number of our compatriots who have supported charitable causes has decreased by more than 20 per cent. In 2020, only 5 per cent of Poles were volunteering. This phenomenon was certainly influenced by the pandemic. However, there are people for whom selfless help to others is not only an inner compulsion but also a moral duty. The Scouting Association of The Republic of Poland has been running the “Akcja Paczka – Pomoc Polakom na Wschodzie” (Action Parcel – Help for the Poles in the East) project uninterruptedly since 1996. Due to the events on the eastern border, the departure of the transport with gifts for our compatriots is not possible this year. At the January meeting with senior citizens we will talk about the campaign and its co-organiser Robert Sawicki will present materials from scouting expeditions to Belarus. We invite you to join us.
