Please join us at the national scientific conference “ Practices towards animals in the 21st century.Moral dilemmas in relations with non-human animals”.
Karolina Pikosz, curator of the Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz, will present a lecture titled “A nagging sense of helplessness and the artistic strategies of veganism” (11:30-11:50). She will talk about the implementation of the vegan philosophy in the space of the Municipal Gallery bwa on the basis of, among other things:
– collaboration with artists: Elwira Sztetner, Leszek Golec and Tatiana Czekalska
– Mini-Festival of Interspecies Visibility (whose guests were, among others, Professor, PhD Andrzej Elżanowski, Dariusz Gzyra, Elwira Sztetner) combining art, philosophical reflection and activism
– integrating elements of interspecies respect into educational processes – series of art workshops (e.g. collaboration with Chrumkowo pig asylum), or writing a tale about Marlena the Hen – as part of a children’s exhibition Karuzela
