“Art in the High Noon” is a series of meetings devoted to art and culture in a broad sense, addressed to people aged 60+. The meetings offer discussions on contemporary art, and creative activities that develop cognitive processes, improving manual dexterity by learning different art techniques and forms of art.
DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY AND ORIGINAL DOCUMENTARY FILM
The lecture will deal with differences in recording reality by documentary directors and photographers. On the basis of short documentaries and well-known press photographs, we will consider what is the attitude of the authors of these two fields towards the world they describe.
Marcin Sauter – director, screenwriter, documentary film-maker, photographer, member of the Association of Polish Photographers and Polish Film Academy, lecturer at the Andrzej Wajda School; studied photography at the National Film School in Łódź, graduate of the Andrzej Wajda School. Author of numerous photographic exhibitions and award-winning documentary films.
