From August 22nd, as part of his artistic residency at the Municipal Gallery bwa, Grzegorz Kozera will be confronting the multiculturalism of Bydgoszcz, of which modus vivendi is an undoubted cornerstone. Over the course of three weeks, the artist will examine just a sliver of Bydgoszcz’s multifaceted heritage, which is like a patterned fabric. Close to Kozera since his diploma, the issue of costume as one of the main elements of an urban cultural text will again inspire his work. As a starting point, the painter and collage maker will take two establishments with a rich tradition in Bydgoszcz: the Modus clothing company and the Pasamon haberdashery factory. In the course of archival research, meetings with the public and chroniclers of the city on the Brda River, we will soon find out what kind of story the author weaves in the Modus Pasamondi exhibition.
