The Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz invites you to the European Night of Museums 2022 on May 14th, from 6 p.m. to midnight, so that in the unique scenery of a night-time city you can experience contemporary art at a new, different level.

We invite you to visit the following exhibitions.
– “Bajka” (Fairytale)by two Polish artists (Krzysztof Maniak, Mikołaj Szpaczyński) invites you to discover the physicality of one place – the cave, through the physicality of another – the gallery. The presentation is an attempt to convey the experience of the cave, its dimensions, its smells.
– “Great Patriotic” (Celina Kanunnikava, Hanna Shumska, Vitalii Shupliak, Endre Tót) is a politically engaged question about the possibility of resistance in art, in art and through art in relation to different times and potentials of such different generations. We will see works by a classic of the Hungarian neo-avant-garde – Endre Tót – as well as by the artists of the younger generation whose lives are linked to Ukraine and Belarus.
– “I need time and space to cry” by Tania Bohuslavska is a situation in which the artist, pointing to the need for the flow of emotions, directly related to the experience of war, stands in her causality and creates a space for crying (held as part of the Artists-In-Residence Programme of Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz). The exhibition can be visited from Friday, May 13th, and the official opening is scheduled for Saturday, May 14th, at 6 p.m. for the start of the Night of Museums.
– “We are among you” – an exhibition of photograms made in cyanotype technique, depicting various organic forms. They are the result of the workshop activities of special classes of the School Complex No. 29, Primary School No. 13 and the Revalidation and Education Centre for Children and Young People with Autism in Bydgoszcz.

We invite you to visit Arkadiusz Szwed’s exhibition “Experimental process”, which presents ceramic objects that are intended to be utilitarian, but become unobvious objects, interior additions, intriguing in their shape, stimulating the imagination of the recipient. The works were created as a result of an experiment with a new, authorial technique of porcelain casting. A short video is also part of the exhibition, which will introduce viewers to the “Experimental process”.

Take part in the competition, visit the venues participating in the European Night of Museums, collect a minimum of 6 stamps that you will receive at the ticket offices of the institutions. Fill in your details and leave your ticket at the Old Tramway at 43 Długa Street. Draws at 20.30 and 22.30.
