Short and long journeys – workshops
Meeting with art for children (ages 3–10) with their guardians.
Presented by Justyna Gorce-Bałut.
On Saturday morning, in relation to the ongoing Marta Normington’s exhibition “Journey as a State of Mind”, we will speculate together what journeys are.
Journeys that are short and long. Journeys for small and big people.
Do you need to go far to make a journey? To go for a long time? Or maybe for a while? And not so far? Hmmm. So do you actually have to leave home at all? Maybe you can just travel in your dreams? A meeting about what travels are for us, for artists, and how to keep them in memory, or in art.
During the workshop we will look at the exhibition with the eyes of children. If you find a minute to prepare yourselves, take one or two souvenirs from your last journey. From some vacation, a weekend, school holidays. It can be a seashell or sand in a bottle, it can be a ski pass or even a tram ticket. And if you find nothing – bring your memories!
