Art at High Noon! Workshops for seniors
Subject: Let’s do it the folk way, or festive cut-outs
Presented by: Anna Araszkiewicz
A series of meetings devoted to art and culture in a broad sense, addressed to people aged 60+. The meetings offer discussions on contemporary art, and creative activities that develop cognitive processes, improving manual dexterity by learning different art techniques and forms of art.
The subject of the meeting will be Polish folk paper cut-outs. Workshop participants will learn, among other things, how the chambers were decorated while preparing for Easter in Kujawy and other regions of Poland. In the second part, seniors will learn to create unique patterns and prepare cut-outs, which may then be used as elements of the decoration of the house or of the Easter basket.
