Meeting history or the art of telling stories about the past

A series of meetings devoted to art and culture in a broad sense addressed to people aged 60+. The meetings offer discussions on contemporary art, and creative activities that develop cognitive processes, improving manual dexterity by learning different art techniques and forms of art.
The lives of many heroes of Poland’s recent history are ready-made movie scripts. At times it is hard to believe that the enormity of the events can affect just one man. The last witnesses who remember their heroism are now passing away. It is therefore worth saving their lives from oblivion.
Marcin Tomaszewski – author of documentary films, historical series and programmes – will talk about the difficult art of restoring memory. About means of documentation and searching for sources of information. Workshop participants will also see the results of his work. We invite you to join us.
