Subject: Muses and woman artists – women of art
Presented by: Urszula Guźlecka
A series of meetings devoted to art and culture in a broad sense, addressed to people aged 60+. The meetings offer discussions on contemporary art, and creative activities that develop cognitive processes, improving manual dexterity by learning different art techniques and forms of art.
Who was Maria Wodzińska and what influence she had on Fryderyk Chopin? How did it happen that Apolonia Chalupec from the small Lipno became an international star of silent cinema? Why was the painter Joanna Witt-Jonscher called a scandalist? What is Irena Santor’s relationship with our region? Answers to these questions will be given at the next meeting with seniors.
Urszula Guźlecka – journalist at TVP Bydgoszcz, author of hundreds of reports and programmes, mainly on cultural issues, that have been broadcast on local and national antennas. For her outstanding contribution to the popularization of culture and history of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region, and for her social activity, she was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, “Master of Polish Speech,” lover of animals.
