Subject: Tea in the gallery – get inspired by art, get inspired by nature
Presented by: Katarzyna Rymarz
In the space of the Herbarium novum. Efflorescentiae exhibition we are going to create a living, edible “image in a cup”. We will start with a plant. Present in human life since the beginning of time, accompanying, inspiring, a medicine, a building block or a garment. We will use herbaceous plants, which used to be our food, feed, drink and heal. Let the colour, multithreading, composition become the main idea of our actions. As our task will ultimately be based on consumption, attention should be paid to the characteristics of the individual plants that we will use in the project. Let’s observe the blooming spring nature during a walk in the park, in a meadow or the forest. Let’s focus our senses on colour, texture, shapes of flowers and stalks. The research approach to nature will be very helpful in identifying plants. Among the works presented at the exhibition, we can recognize herbaceous and pro-health plants. We will find a cornflower, yarrow or an apple tree. Let’s get inspired by nature.
