A full bowl of crunchies, a piece of liver every day? As a preventative measure, food good for kidneys and maybe cheese for dessert? Let’s talk about feeding mistakes feline owners make most often, where to learn from to avoid them and know your cat’s needs from the kitchen point of view.
Why only cats? Because they have as much in common with the dogs (which Wiktoria also loves) as they do apart. Feline medicine is slowly becoming a separate field of veterinary medicine and hence the idea to specialise in cat nutrition. Wiktoria provides dietary consultations for cats of all ages and with various health problems. Proceeds from the consultation go to cat charities. Living with her are black Lilo, abyssinian Moriarty and the occasional kitten she temporarily fosters. Wiktoria studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Warmińsko-Mazurski University in Olsztyn. Since 2017, she has been studying cats extensively and has been active online on educational groups, teaching other cat people. In addition to the Private Vocational Training Centre’s Rigorous Course for Animal Dieticians, she completed the Polish Academy of Zoopsychology and Animal Therapy’s Cat Behaviourist Course, the PetIdea Advanced Course for Feline Behaviourists and the Fear Free® Certified Professional and AAFP Cat Friendly Veterinarian programmes – to be able to support cats and their humans in difficult domestic situations and to alleviate the stress of visits to the veterinary surgery.
