The workshop is designed for anyone who enjoys artwork, is curious about the mysteries of the plant world and has the desire to create their own work inspired by nature in an intimate setting. So far, my workshops have been attended by people from 5 to 76 years old, both men and women.
During the workshop, for the first hour I talk about plant symbolism in different cultures, working with intention and ways to communicate with plants. The remaining two hours is a practical part during which participants create their own plant mandalas.
Arranging mandalas is a wonderful tool with which we can go beyond the daily, rational and goal-oriented state of mind to dive into our own inner self, descend into the space of the heart and experience the bond that connects us to the infinite web of life, so that from this place, with the power of intention, we can invite all that we long for into our lives.
There will be frames and lots of gorgeous plants and feathers (all found, 100% cruelty free) as well as fabrics and special adhesives waiting for the participants.
During the workshop I talk about:
• how to dry plants so that they retain their colour, which backgrounds to choose, which adhesives to use for backing
• a bit about the properties of plants and their symbolism
• how to communicate with plants
• how to work with intention
Many people feel that they have no artistic talent, cannot draw or paint but have a strong and unfulfilled need to create. Arranging mandalas from plants helps to disenchant such beliefs and unleash creative potential. Plant mandalas can be created by everyone. The workshop satisfies the need for close contact with the beauty of nature, offering the opportunity to look quietly at its perfect forms such as flowers, feathers or butterfly wings.
