Buildings and their spaces are for me a framework within which a story about the contemporary man takes place. A man in constant rush, alienated and lost.
Hence the melancholic mood and distance between the photographer and her object. The other aspect of the cycle is an attempt to present the reality in a way referring to the characteristics of architecture. The geometry of space, capturing the rhythm, texture, colour and light.
Anna Pikuła, born in Bydgoszcz in 1978. Studied architecture at the Gdansk University of Technology. In 2004, graduated from the WFH School of Photography, and in 2007, from the European Academy of Photography.
