The main ideological assumption of the „Ego sum” project is to emphasise the essence of human existence as an individual.
The art of the recent years, just like the whole pop culture, focused on mankind and its image, has rejected an individual into oblivion. The individual lost its form, becoming just a spot in the mass of the mediapop picture. The individual is an element lost in the present, but simultaneously, it is an element of the machine called mankind. The world dominated by consumption and non-spiritual power of economics has become an adversary of art and culture. Art in the position of a cultural conscience acts, paradoxically, on the basis of the principles against which it tries to be in opposition. The artists participating in the project are supposed to try to determine the position of a human being „hic et nunc”, in the current time and place
