Eugeniusz Geppert Competition
Eugeniusz Geppert Competition and its effect – National Exhibition of Young Painters, this year are talking place under the tittle “Painting! Alternating current” witch suggests multitude and ambiguity of perceptions included in the contemporary notion of painting.
The idea of Eugeniusz Geppert Competition began in 1989 on initiative of PWSSP tutors and critics from Wrocław together with Hanna Krzetuska -Geppert. Since then this event, organized every two years, has had the function of litmus paper for tendencies observed in painting and the ways of understanding of this traditional medium. This year exhibition, co-created by artists who differently perceive not only the problem of painting but also the idea of competition.
