The selected advertising folders by Ildefons Bańkowski, created in the 1960s and 1970s, will make up the story of Polish photography, industry and urban planning. They are a part of a rich archive of the artist and the announcement of his first monographic exhibition planned for September 2017 in the Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz.
Ildefons Bańkowski (1926–1982) ‒ architect, since 1965 member of the Association of Polish Photographers. He did art and functional photography. Closely related to Bydgoszcz. One of the exponents of colour photography in the Bydgoszcz circles, designer of vinyl album covers, advertising folders, advertising and advertising photography. Honoured as artist photographer by the International Federation of Photographic Art (AFIAP). He participated in national and international exhibitions (Berlin, Edinburgh, Lausanne, Paris, Brussels). Among numerous honours, he received the Award of the Minister of Culture and Art in 1966 and 1977, for his “Music Themes in Photography” series.
