The Kantorek Gallery will host the opening of the exhibition of Ryszard Czajkowski, which will take place on August 19th, at 6pm. The exhibition will present several portraits of a woman’s face in various guises.
He uses his characteristic form inspired by pop-art, but not entirely. He refers the style of poster, adverts, using strong contrasts of pure colours, at the same time enhancing the graphics style of the presentation with a broad, painterly gesture. He combines decorativeness with the expression of a patch of colour. The aesthetics of his paintings do not provoke objections; one could say: nice painting. That’s because in everyday life Czajkowski looks for beautiful shapes, ideal forms – writes the curator of the exhibition, Elżbieta Kantorek.
