The “Bydgoskie Redi-Medi” exhibition is my continuation of presentation of works different in terms of techniques and disciplines. Of course, it is not about shocking with diversity, it is only the effect of inspiration recorded on a variety of devices and materials. An impulse, in the blink of an eye, decides on the selection of the subject, theme… It turns out that the EYE is faster than thought, it surprises, allows you to instantly explore the world and issues of form. Grzegorz Bednarski, a Krakow painter from Bydgoszcz, says ‒ “my eye is like a Mozart’s ear”, while Picasso frankly admitted ‒ “I’m not looking, I’m finding”. Stanisław Stasiulewicz
Stanisław Stasiulewicz – painter, born in 1955, studied at the Faculty of Easel Painting in the Study of Prof. Jan Szancenbach in the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (diploma in 1983). Since 1985, he’s been actively participating in the artistic life of Bydgoszcz. In 1990, together with Krzysztof Gruse and Zbigniew Zielinski (ZbyZiel), founded the Szkoła Bydgoska art group. From 1993 to 1999 he was the President of the Board of the District of the Association of Polish Artists in Bydgoszcz. In 1994, holder of the scholarship of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in New York. He has created several hundred works arranged in major cycles: “Obrazy Bydgoskie” (Bydgoszcz Paintings), “Obrazy Jass-ne” (Jass-light Paintings), “Obrazy Piękne” (Beautiful Paintings), “Obrazy Nowe” (New Paintings), “deformart”. He has presented them at over fifty individual exhibitions in Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Warsaw, Torun, Krakow. His works are in the collection of the Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum in Bydgoszcz, Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz and private collections. Stasiulewicz won the Golden Badge of the Association of Polish Artists, and the Award of the President of Bydgoszcz for lifetime achievement.
