I am making this exhibition mainly to remember that time which concluded a five years stay in Krakow, at the Academy of Fine Arts. We were starting our lives on a twisted territory of new environments. The fulfilled adolescent dreams were to be tested.
It has been 25 years already, many things happened, we could afford heroism of ideals.
As rebels from dawn to dawn, at full throttle forward, forward…
Now, looking at the landscape after the battle, one can see the artificial homeland decorations.
It turns out that those bound to pretend -pretended, those bound to lag behind -lagged behind, those bound to get swollen at their position -got swollen, those bound to mindlessly betray -betrayed.
Only a question remains -why here, the song of the Golden Horn? Why did it have a meaning here?
Stasiulewicz

Stanisław Stasiulewicz, born in 1955, graduated in 1983 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow under the tuition of Professor Jan Szancenbach. Since 1985, he has been active in the artistic milieu of Bydgoszcz (Kruchta Gallery, Pomyśl o Sztuce, Szkoła Bydgoska, Trytony).
In 1993-1999, President of the Regional Division of the Association of Polish Artists.
