For the accompanying exhibitions, the Jury decided to invite Dr
Zdzisław Mackiewicz of the Department of Photography at the Faculty of
Fine Arts of the Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń, together with a
group of his students. These exhibitions will be presented at the site
of the University of Economy and clubs of Bydgoszcz:

The photo exhibitions will be accompanied by lectures, presenting
different applications of photography in the domain of art.
1) Dr Małgorzata Jankowska -Mikołaj Kopernik University, with a
lecture: On diversity and style of modern photography;
2) Wojtek Woźniak, with a lecture: Collection of the Regional Museum
of Bydgoszcz

DEBUTS – at 6pm, and Portfolio Reviews, 8pm – September 5th, 2008
1) As a part of the DEBUTS, presentation of works by students of the
high schools of fine arts in Supraśl and Bydgoszcz. Young people will
present the photo documentation from the “Granica” (Border) activities
in Białystok and from the interdisciplinary events at the Malbork
Castle. – Assembly Hall of the State Schools of Fine Arts,

2) In the evening, the FRGS MÓZG club will present PORTFOLIO:
– photo presentation of the JUWENKRACJA Association
– works by the students of the 1st year of Architecture and Urban
Studies, and the students of the 1st year of the Department of
Cultural Studies at the University of Economy
Apart from lectures, there will be presentations and workshops of
photo techniques, putting the phenomenon of photosensitivity in
various contexts, investigating meanings of image and revealing traps
of modern media. The participants will be able to actively participate
in the process of creating photography, to experience image on the
border of its becoming and to touch the energy of recording.

Economy, in the Museum of History of Photography.
